These are the rules of the road for using mymc. They’re short because the product is straightforward; they will get longer and more lawyered before a paid launch.
Eligibility
You must be at least 16 years old, or the age of digital consent in your country, and capable of holding a valid motorcycle licence. mymc is a tool for riders. We trust you to behave like one.
Crash detection & SOS — not a replacement for emergency services
mymc’s crash detection is a best-effort heuristic using your phone’s sensors. It may not detect every crash, and may sometimes fire when you haven’t crashed. The SOS dispatch is a convenience layer on top of normal SMS / phone calls. It does not replace dialling 112 / 911 / your local emergency number. By using these features you acknowledge that mymc is not liable for missed crashes or delayed responses, and that you have your own plan for emergencies.
Acceptable use
- No publishing someone else’s personal data via shared routes, public profiles, or comments.
- No abusive content. Admins can remove anything public at any time; every removal is logged.
- No scraping the API or web app at high volume. Rate limits and fair-use apply.
Subscriptions & refunds
Once we ship paid tiers, they renew via Apple’s App Store and cancel inside iOS’s Subscriptions panel. Refund eligibility is governed by Apple’s policy; we’re happy to help you navigate it via hello@mymc.app.
Termination
Delete your account at any time on the iOS app or /account. We can suspend an account that violates these terms; we’ll tell you why before doing so unless it’s an obvious abuse case.
Liability
mymc is provided as-is. To the maximum extent permitted by law, our liability for any claim related to the service is capped at the amount you’ve paid us in the last twelve months, or zero if you’re on the free tier.
Disputes
Governed by the laws of Sweden. Disputes that can’t be resolved by emailing us are handled by Swedish courts, except where consumer-protection laws in your jurisdiction give you better rights.
